Darrius is the former assistant coach of Brown University’s Division I Wrestling Program. Darrius was the lead assistant at Brown from 2018 through 2022 before moving on to pursue his MBA. However, he never left behind his passion for coaching young athletes and is excited to lead the Show-Me Academy Wrestling Program.
Prior to joining the Brown University coaching staff, Darrius was an assistant wrestling coach at Lehigh University (2015-18) and Gardner Webb University (2014-15).
In addition to his coaching prowess, Darrius is also a highly accomplished athlete. He was a World Team Trials Qualifier and a Top 8 Placer at the US Open in both 2015 and 2018. While in college, Darrius was an NCAA All-American in 2012 as well as a 3x NCAA Qualifier. In high school he was a 3x All-ACC recipient in 2008, 2011, and 2012, and a 3x ACC Placer in 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2012. Darrius was the North Carolina High School State Champion in 2012 and holds the record within the state for the sixth highest number of all-time wins.
Darrius is a graduate of North Carolina State University and is currently a candidate of Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.
