Darian Cruz

We are incredibly honored to welcome 2024 Olympian and NCAA National Champion Darian Cruz to our summer camp staff. With a competitive career that has reached the global stage and an active coaching role in the Ivy League, Darian offers our campers an extraordinary opportunity to learn from one of the brightest minds in wrestling.

Olympic Status & Collegiate Greatness 

Darian has proven himself at the absolute highest levels of the sport, recently competing on the world's biggest stage at the 2024 Olympic Games. Before his international freestyle success, he was a dominant force at Lehigh University. He captured an NCAA National Championship and cemented his collegiate legacy as a 3x NCAA All-American and a 4x NCAA Qualifier. His dominance was a constant on the East Coast, where he also claimed three prestigious EIWA Championships.

Pennsylvania Roots

Before his collegiate and international achievements, Darian was a standout prep wrestler in one of the toughest wrestling states in the country. He captured two highly competitive Pennsylvania State Championships, setting the foundation early for a legendary career on the mat.

Ivy League Coaching Expertise

Darian is currently an Assistant Wrestling Coach at the University of Pennsylvania, where he plays a vital role in developing Division I athletes. This means our campers are getting instruction from an active, high-level coach who understands how to break down elite techniques and communicate them effectively to wrestlers at every stage of their journey.

Having a recent Olympian in the room is an experience like no other. Campers working with Darian will learn cutting-edge techniques from both the collegiate folkstyle and international freestyle circuits. Known for his technical precision, explosive attacks, and elite mindset, Darian will teach campers how to prepare like a champion, execute under pressure, and take their wrestling skills to the next level.
